Congratulations to the Department of Computer Engineering on receiving the Honorable Mention Award for higher education-level work “(The 27th National Software Contest 2025)”
The project developed for the competition is titled “Sign Language Learning Media with a Sign Language Translation Device (Signlab).” It presents a system designed to provide opportunities for students, learners, the general public, and people with hearing impairments to effectively learn and practice sign language.
The system integrates a sign language learning website, machine learning, gesture-detection cameras, and a self-designed low-cost smart glove, enabling learners to practice sign language efficiently with real-time feedback.
Additionally, the project incorporates gamification concepts to enhance motivation and engagement, making sign language learning more accessible, enjoyable, and effective.
